Reagan says in the ad:Hi, I’m Ron Reagan, an unabashed atheist, and I’m alarmed, as you may be, by the intrusion of religion into our secular government. That’s why I’m asking you to join the Freedom From Religion Foundation, the nation’s largest and most effective association of atheists and agnostics, working to keep state and church separate, just like our Founders intended. Please join the Freedom From Religion Foundation. Ron Reagan, lifelong atheist, not afraid of burning in hell.
“We’re grateful to Ron for helping to make FFRF a ‘household name,’ and to all the individuals who have joined FFRF as a result,” says FFRF Co-President Dan Barker. “The ad has run on some truly landmark programs, including ‘The Daily Show’ during its final Trevor Noah days.”
As funds have permitted, FFRF has run the ad on MSBNC’s “Rachel Maddow Show,” on CNN during the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate debates, as well as on CBS news shows.
The Freedom From Religion Foundation, a state/church watchdog, is the country’s largest freethought organization, with 38,000 nonreligious members and 23 chapters all across the country.
